About

My career background started back in 1966 with Provident Mutual in Hertfordshire. I worked for about 2 years in the Actuarial Department dealing with Mathematical calculations on surrender and paid up values together with more complex Policy Changes. I then moved to the City Head Office but in the Valuation Department.

Whilst in London I took the opportunity to move to a smaller (now defunct) Life Company where I eventually ran the Actuarial Quotations section involved mostly in Guaranteed Bonds and the more unusual Annuities.

After about 7 years in the industry, I moved to the Broker Consultancy side with Scottish Amicable and then Vanbrugh/Prudential where I stayed for 10 years reaching the position of Regional Manager for the Midlands.

In 1988 I formed Analytical Professional Recruitment with an ex colleague and friend, Charles Scott . Our mantra was to recruit for an industry that we understood first hand.
